The site TCO (Total Cost of
Ownership) contract is designed to provide customers with a fixed annual
IT support cost, covering all computers and servers, including hardware
and software.
Cost:
- Computers: £180.00+VAT per year: £15.00+VAT per
month
- Servers: £750.00+VAT per year: £62.50+VAT per
month
- Laptops: £240.00+VAT per year: £20.00+VAT per
month
- The above charge will be collected monthly in
advance.
Minimum contract period is one
year.
Included:
- Resolve hardware issues
- Resolve software issues
- Setup of new users
- Daily remote checkups of backup
- All Microsoft software updates and service packs.
- Data restores from backup tapes if available.
- Monthly restore checks of tape back ups
- Regular checks of AV software updates
Excluded:
- Issues caused by viruses, worms, Trojans,
ad-ware, spy-ware or other similar malicious software programs
- Issues caused by incorrect use of the equipment
not in accordance to the manufacturer’s instructions
- Setup or re-configuration of new software or hardware:
unless other specified at time of sale
- Any existing hardware/software issues
- Printers, scanners, tape drive consumables
(please ask for details)
- Acts of god and damage caused by external
influences, such as lightning, floods, power surges etc.
The above items can be resolved
using either the tokens, as described below, or at a fixed cost.
Tokens:
In order to cover other general
support issues, each customer, provided all their computers are covered
under TCO, will be allocated a number of tokens. Each token can be
redeemed to resolve one IT issue, i.e. install a new software package,
setup a new printer etc: items not covered under this TCO contract.
Tokens are given each month on
a use-it or lose-it basis and cannot be carried over into the next
month.
One token is given for every 10
computers with a minimum of one token.
Pre-Requisites:
All sites are subject to an
audit in order to qualify for the site TCO contract.
Pre-requisites include:
- Anti-virus software: up to date, fully licensed and
installed on all PCs and servers
- Only Windows compatible PCs are covered
- Broadband ADSL connection for remote support.
- Minimum of 10 computers
- Server 2000 / 2003
